Welcome to a brief introduction
We started on the net already back in 1995 prior to most of the world did not even know what the internet was or what it would become. We registered domains and started actually out from Houston hosting this site from own servers and using IDSL line (copper) with 128 kb.
From here we started a new site named Shipping International – The Maritime New Magazine bringing shipping news from around the world basted on contribution from editors in Europe and far east including Singapore.
Next was creation of ShipYard International where close to 400 shipyards worldwide listed in the database – highly used and appreciated . It could be reached directly by accessing the site and the database making it easy find the shipyard information needed for your repair or dry docking project. All important information, like birthing docks; floating docks or graving docks, cranes, repair facilities and workshops including tools and the capacities.
Later we added our ShipBoard International – a dynamic message board that became very popular and included quite a few cargo leads, jobs and open tonnage posted, — and the best, it’s free for everyone to use – All our sites where free to use without any login requirements!
Now we start first under our Heritage Menu with some parts from Shipping International – The Maritime New Magazine
