U.S Navy Prevents 2 Ships From Entering Iranian Ports, 17 Hrs After Reimposing Blockade

United States Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that just 17 hours after reimposing the naval blockade of Iranian Ports, U.S forces intercepted two commercial ships and prevented them from entering Iranian waters.

It also said that America remains prepared to monitor enforcement of the blockade, which was imposed after the interim peace agreement between Washington and Tehran broke down over the control and management of the Strait of Hormuz.

The naval blockade of Iranian ports was resumed at 11:30 p.m. Tehran time on Tuesday, July 14, 2026.

The Trump administration had imposed the blockade after a ceasefire was declared in April this year, which led to a sharp decline in Iranian oil exports.
